165-foot-tall tower on top of Talcott Mountain; The tower and the house next to it (now a museum) were built in 1914 by Gilbert F. Heublein who was a magnate in the alcohol and food industries. The top of the tower offers views of up to 80 miles away. Seasonal tours are available Thursday to Sunday at 11:00 am, 1:00 pm, and 3:00 pm; Getting to the tower requires a 1.25 mile (40 minute) hike over Talcott Mountain
