Cliff Walk is a 3.5 mile long walk along the ocean behind Newport's famous mansions. Most of the walk a public right-of-way over private property.

The northern section is well paved and is easy walking, however the southern part has some unpaved sections over rocks and cliffs that are very dangerous and difficult to cross. Cliff Walk starts at Memorial Boulevard at Easton's Beach and ends at the end of Bellevue Avenue near Bailey's Beach. There are several other access points including Ledge Road, Marine Avenue, Ruggles Avenue, Sheppard Avenue, Webster Street, and Narragansett Avenue. There are toilets at Narragansett Avenue (Forty Steps). Parking is available at Easton's Beach (pay), along Narragansett Avenue; and on Shepard Avenue and Webster Street (during weekends and in the summer). Bicycles are not allowed. To return you can walk or take the Newport Trolley (RIPA). Be sure to bring drinking water.

As of 2013 a two mile section is closed due to Hurricane Sandy and erosion.
