A grassland area that was formerly part of the Nantucket Golf Course from 1921 to 1953. It is now owned by the Nantucket Conservation Foundation. There are 1.5 miles of trails and it is popular with dog walkers. There is a nice view of the north shore from the bluff. The area is covered by Little Bluestem Grass, other grasses, wildflowers, heathland plants, and shrubs. There are no facilities here and no beach access. The Cliff Road bike path passes by here.

Wasque is a coastal preserve undergoing change; There was once a swimming beach here, but due to erosion and strong currents the beach is being swept out to sea; Swan Pond is also gone; Swimming is hazardous, as is walking out onto the cliffs which easily collapse; Beware of dangerous currents, incoming tides, sharks, and falling cliffs; 90 vehicle parking area; $5 parking + $5 per person fees from Memorial Day Weekend through Columbus Day Weekend (2015); Open year-round
