The main Salt Pond refuge is south-east of Route 1 between Ninigret Park and Ninigret Pond; Access is via the west entrance on Route 1 or by driving through Ninigret Park past the dog park (GPS above); The Kettle Pond Visitor Center is the headquarters, provides information about the Refuge, and has some trails. The Visitor Center is at 50 Bend Road on the north-west side of Route 1. Pets, bicycles, kites, fires, picnicking, and camping are not permitted in either part of the refuge.
