The most direct way to get here is to take Falls River Road off of Escoheag Hill Road, but Falls River Road is unpaved and extremely rough (It is not even shown to connect on some maps). The parking area is right next to the falls. The other option is to hike the Ben Utter Trail which starts on Plain Road at the bridge where the Wood River crosses the road in Exeter. (One website mistakenly calls the road Austin Farm Road). The trail runs north-west along the Wood River for about 1.25 miles then ends at Stepstone Falls. |
