I only ate here once before, a few years ago. The restaurant often gets great reviews. They have a small parking lot on the side. The dining room is rather small, long and narrow. We were seated at the back, which was ok.

For starters I split a calamari fritti with my dinner guests. The calamari was very good. The meal came with bread and salad. They gave us one very very small bread to be shared among the three of us. It was nothing great, so we did not bother to ask for more. They did provide oil & balsamic vinegar to dip it in. The salad was rather sparse. The herb vinaigrette dressing was good.

For my main entrée I ordered the Bistecca Provencal which is a filet mignon with a pinot noir demi wine sauce over mushroom risotto with grilled asparagus. The portion size was good. At first I thought the filet was excellent, but as I got into it, I found far too much gristle. At least the flavor and part of the meat was excellent. I ordered it medium-rare and that is exactly how it was cooked. It was slightly too rare in the center for me, but that's how medium-rare usually is. I was not a fan of the risotto. It seemed sort of stuck together in a giant lump. The asparagus was very good.

My dinner companion got the Veal Giuseppe which is a "cutlet of veal, eggplant and mozzarella layered, baked and topped with tomato, wine and mushroom sauce, served with penne marinara". It was a large portion. I tried it. It was very good.
I thought the food on the whole was above average. I would eat here again. Next time I think I would try something different such as the Shrimp Florentine, Veal Giuseppe, Rigatoni Rustica, Lasagna, or the Parma Rosa.
